Performance Club's summer stock theater series are semi-professional productions for audiences of all ages! Our summer stock productions are performed at the RUTH & BUCKY STEIN THEATRE at the historic Thalian Hall in downtown Wilmington. We have been lucky to have some of Wilmington's finest young talent over the years! Plus we have been nominated every year by Star News for BEST CHILDREN'S THEATRE in Wilmington!
TICKETS AVAILABLE FOR SUMMER STOCK THEATRE at THALIAN HALL BOX OFFICE. Tickets go on sale June 2018!
Produced by LJ Woodard, owner of the Performance Club Studio Theatre, Summer Stock is by AUDITION ONLY where the best of the best shine! Due to the size of the theater space, our cast sizes are limited to 20-25 performers max. Our productions focus on different age ranges from 8-19 years with a youth, middle school and teen driven show. We cast in the spring and prepare for each production with a two week intensive rehearsal process prior to show dates! We are a for-profit business where our goal is to provide quality children's theater and a positive theatrical experience to our cast. We ask parents to provide financial support thru participation fees OR by selling ads for the program. No youth performer will ever be denied a role based on financial participation. We also secure local sponsors and in doing so, generate a positive return to pay our creative staff.
AUDITIONS FOR SUMMER STOCK are set for April of 2018 in person or via video! SEEKING DANCERS, SINGERS AND ACTORS! And CREW!

Based on the ever-popular, award-winning 1970s cartoons, this fast-paced musical teaches lessons with clever, catchy tunes! It's a revue providing plenty of roles and solos in this energetic musical, which follows Tom, a young schoolteacher, who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music. Memorable songs as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction" bring his lesson plans vividly to life.
PREPARE to sing your own 32 bar cut of a song for the initial audition a cappella OR monologue if you are NOT a singer! Also be prepared to dance, no flip flops
